Tottenham Hotspur FC Focuses on Rebuild Plan

Tottenham Hotspur FC’s Franchise Rebuild Start with Young Players

Tottenham Hotspur FC was one of the biggest losers after the Premier League’s January transfer window as four of their key players left the team. The Spurs sent midfielders Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, and Bryan Gil to Olympique Lyonnais. They also moved another midfielder in Dele Alli to Everton. In return, Tottenham signed midfielders Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte described their January signings as part of the franchise rebuild plan. The football club now focuses on building a young core of players still thirsty for experience. Letting this young core grow all together and build chemistry is the key for them to once again rise in the Premier League.

Obviously, Conte also stressed the importance of having football veterans on the team. These experienced players will help mentor the young guys and guide them as part of the club’s player development project.

Antonio Conte has a winning pedigree both as a head coach and a player. Conte was instrumental in breaking Juventus’ 9-year championship streak at the 2020–21 Serie A, and his team Internazionale were confirmed as champions. He also had championships as a manager for different teams at the Premier League and the FA Cup. He had numerous championships at the Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the UEFA as a player.

The Italian team manager wants to rebuild Tottenham Hotspur from scratch by recruiting young players they can develop instead of having professionals who are already tailor-made. The team has to adjust to their established playing style. Conte is a visionary when it comes to building championship teams. His resume speaks for itself. However, things are different and more challenging in the Premier League. The top professional league in all of Europe is a different animal when it comes to building rosters, and fanbase pressure will also come to play. Hopefully, Conte’s leadership will put it all together for Tottenham, and they’ll be back to their winning ways.

Tottenham Hotspur FC is currently eighth in the Premier League table with 36 points after 22 games. The team travels to Manchester City on Saturday for their next match.
